Job description

We’re Hiring: HR Director

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven HR Director to lead the HR function within a large-scale 2,500+ employee BPO/contact centre operation in Durban.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a strategic HR professional who can partner with executives, strengthen HR governance, and drive measurable improvements across the employee lifecycle.

Key Focus Areas

Lead the overall HR strategy and people agenda

Partner with Executive and Operational Leadership

Oversee Employee & Industrial Relations, including CCMA matters

Drive HR policies, governance and compliance

Lead the implementation of a new HRIS

Oversee reward, benefits, HR reporting and people analytics

Drive employee engagement, retention and attrition reduction

Lead Employment Equity and B-BBEE initiatives

Support organisational change and workforce transformation

Build and develop a high-performing HR team

What We’re Looking For

Senior HR leadership experience in a BPO, contact centre or high-volume environment

Experience supporting 2,000+ employees

Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and ER/IR practices

Proven CCMA, Employment Equity and B-BBEE experience

Experience with HRIS implementation; Workday advantageous

Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills

Relevant HR/Industrial Psychology/IR qualification

Executive-level communication and influencing capability

Location: Durban

Workforce: 2,500+ employees Level: Senior Management
