HR Intern

CCG Systems is an ICT sector and is well known to specialize in the implementation and support of ERP systems as well as Payroll & HR Systems to which our clients are made of mostly Municipalities throughout South Africa. Our company is looking for a potential candidate to join our HR Team in the capacity of an Intern, to be based at our Head Office.

The Human Resources Intern is responsible for providing operational and administrative support by conducting research, preparing documents and reports, and performing clerical functions to support the HR Team, HR Director, as well as the Finance Director in ensuring compliance with group companies, in order to gain exposure in the field.

Formal Qualifications required

• Grade 12 Senior Certificate.
• Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in human resources or other related field.
• S.A Citizen, Resident or Valid S.A Work Permit

Legal Requirements

• Valid code B driver’s license and own transport
• Passed credit and criminal checks

Operational

• Assist the HR Department with the implementation of HR Policies and enforce adherence to the policies.
• Assist in maintaining database of HRIS.
• Assist with annual and quarterly submissions, when required.
• Assist in conducting research, compile data, and prepare documentation for the department.
• Assist the HR Department with the day-to-day transactional HR matters.
• Assist the HR Department with coordinating employee development & training, which would include training agreements, registers, reporting, etc.
• During HR related meetings take minutes and compile the minutes to be proofread by the HR Director.
• Monitor employees’ time and attendance on a daily basis.

Recruitment, On-boarding and Induction:

• Liaise with recruitment agencies, email details of job descriptions to the agencies.
• Coordinate diaries and set up interviews between the applicants and interview panel.
• Keep recruitment agencies informed regarding their applicants.
• Inform recruitment agencies about positions that have been filled after the selection process.
• Ensure job requests are sent through and approved before advertising a position.
• Maintain a database of CV’s received for future use.
• Ensure new employees have necessary tools to resume their duties.
• Create employee file and relevant accounts for new employees.
• Conduct induction with new employee on relevant company policies and procedures

Performance Management

• Assist with Updating and maintaining performance objectives and KPI’s on HRIS
• Assist with sending out monthly check -ins in due time with set deadline
• Assist with sending out performance reviews on each performance cycle
• Assist with providing probationary review to new employees after 3 months of employment
