Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily onboard human resources operations.
- Support crew members with HR-related matters, including onboarding, contracts, and employee relations.
- Coordinate crew sign-on, sign-off, orientation, and induction programs.
- Assist with recruitment and staffing requirements in collaboration with shoreside HR teams.
- Monitor employee performance review processes and support talent development.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, maritime labor regulations, and employment standards.
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Coordinate training, learning, and development programs.
- Promote crew welfare, engagement, and recognition initiatives.
- Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate workforce records.
- Advise department managers on HR policies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of HR experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, or cruise ships is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and employee relations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.
- Ability to speak one or more additional languages is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Pay: R30 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
