WE ARE HIRING: HR MANAGER
URGENT PLACEMENT
Location: Ladysmith, KZN
Industry: Terry Towels (Textile) Manufacturing
We are the Southern Hemisphere’s leading Terry Towel Manufacturer, seeking an experienced and dynamic HR MANAGER to manage and support the full HR Function and associated responsibilities. The successful Candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Company’s Human Capital by planning, evaluating, and implementing HR Policies, Initiatives, and Practices. KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent HR Qualification.
- 5+ years' proven experience in an HR Role, of which 2 years must be as an HR Manager.
- Strong and demonstrated Recruiting Skills with ability to improve Talent Acquisition Strategies.
- Demonstrated training and advisory expertise in HR-related matters.
- Strong knowledge of HR Policies, Procedures, and best practices.
- Strong Employee Relations expertise, including CCMA representation, with exposure to Union dealings.
- Experience in Skills Development and Employment Equity reporting and compliance (advantageous).
- Background in and/or knowledge of the Textile Industry and related Bargaining Council Regulations (advantageous).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- High level of integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
- Hands-on operational HR approach with strong ability to manage multiple HR tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Computer Programs and Payroll Processing Software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Management to develop and implement HR Strategies that support operational goals.
- Provide guidance and support on HR Policies, Procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and advise on Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary action, grievance handling, counselling, and Union dealings.
- Execute Recruitment and Selection Processes, from advertising to placement, facilitate the smooth integration of new Employees, and prepare Employment Contracts.
- Oversee Performance Management Processes.
- Process Payroll and ensure accurate time keeping / attendance records of all Employees.
- Facilitate Skills Development (WSP/ATR) and Employment Equity initiatives, reporting, and compliance.
- Draft HR-related documentation, report on internal HR trends, and upkeep records / filing.
