As an HR Officer at our Cape Town site, you will play a key operational role in the delivery of Human Resources support within a high‑volume contact centre environment. The role is responsible for ensuring HR policies and processes are implemented consistently, employee relations matters are handled fairly and lawfully, and statutory and Employment Equity requirements are met. Acting as a trusted advisor to both employees and operational leaders, the HR Officer provides day‑to‑day guidance across the employee lifecycle, supports industrial relations activity, and contributes to workforce planning and engagement initiatives. This role requires a strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation, sound judgement, and the ability to operate confidently in a fast‑moving BPO environment.

What Are We Looking For

  • Are you deeply familiar with HR policies, procedures, and labour law compliance within a fast‑paced operational or BPO environment?
  • Are you confident handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management cases?
  • Do you have experience advising and supporting managers on people matters, applying sound judgement while balancing risk, fairness, and operational needs?
  • Are you comfortable managing sensitive and complex situations with professionalism, discretion, and consistency?

  • Proven experience in an HR Officer or similar HR operational role within a fast‑paced contact centre or BPO environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of South African labour legislation and employee relations processes.
  • Confidence supporting disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management cases with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high‑volume environment.
  • Experience working with HR systems and payroll interfaces, with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
