Hub Manager

takealot.com , a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Hub Manager to join our Takealot Fulfillment Solutions in Limpopo, Polokwane.

This position reports to the General Manager Primary Logistics

Your responsibilities will include

• Be responsible for the overall running of the facility and all other secondary roles which flow from this function
• Ensure operations costs are in line with budget
• Ensures the on-time delivery of product to/from the distribution centre
• Responsible for implementation and effective utilization of system(s) which will ensure that all product within the warehouse and/or entering or leaving the warehouse is accurately identified and distributed/delivered timeously
• Ensure efficient warehousing with timeous movement of product
• Extracts data and generates reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making
• Ensure consistent application of Company policies and procedures
• Trains and supervise employees to carry out the functions under their control
• Implement and maintain health and safety standards
• Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and other company standards
• Identifies value-creation opportunities for the company in the movement and distribution of the product
• Works closely with senior management and Human Resources to resolve issues and ensure quality service to our customers
• Oversee maintenance, repairs, or replacements for machines
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Attributes required:

• Results driven individual who has demonstrated ability working in a high performance environment
• Must have good attention to details, and be able to manage the big picture and continuous changes in customer requests and deliveries of product
• Must be able to manage multiple, complex tasks and deal easily with pressure on a day in and day out basis
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good understanding of business principles and practices; can effectively manage the materials function with a bottom line result

Qualifications:

• Matric qualification
• 8 or more years of related work and knowledge, required
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain advantageous
