Purpose Of The Role
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the generalist human resource function, including but not limited to HR Service and HR Administration within the DC Corporate stores and DC Managed stores.
Job Description
- Provide HR generalist advisory and operational service to Corporate stores in South Rand, North Rand and Lowveld region.
- Advise the business on all matters pertaining to HR & IR legislation arising at our Corporate stores through structured reports
- Drafting of contracts, amendments and any other contractual documentation.
- Manage operational implementation of company code of conduct, maintain open/regular communication with key stakeholders
- Manage remuneration and benefits as well as accuracy of payroll input against contractual and legal requirements
- Manage Talent Management and Succession Planning
- Manage Recruitment process
- Manage Training and Development
- Manage HR administrative processes
- Manage SETA and Service Provider relationships
- Manage union and other 3rd party relationships
- Managing the implementation of Employment Equity legislation in Corporate stores, including drafting EE plans and submission of EE reports
- Labour legislation compliance
- Analyse staff costs, man hours, and staff costs ratios and create workable action plans to ensure all Corporate stores are in line with budgeted staff costs
- Handle all aspects of employee relations including CCMA and Wage Negotiations
- Advise and partner with line management in driving performance management processes
- Resource the Corporate stores with the right calibre & skills sets
- Promoting employee engagement, by facilitating culture/ values, continuous improvement, team development and staff empowerment interventions
- Identify areas of potential risks to the business units, specifically with regards to excessive leave build ups, absenteeism, and any other situations which may cause the stores unnecessary financial losses
Requirements
- Minimum 5 - 10 years’ experience in HR
- Extensive knowledge of South African dispute resolution structures and labour legislation
- Working knowledge/experience in Industrial Relations within a unionised environment essential
- Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively (Valid Driver’s Licence)
- National Senior Certificate - Matric (Mandatory)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Law.
