HR MANAGER

Pie in the Sky is a fast-growing, quality-driven industrial bakery supplying a broad customer base with a strong focus on reliability and consistency.

We are looking for an HR Manager to build and institutionalise a structured, system-driven HR function that supports operational performance, staff development, and business growth.

ROLE FOCUS

The role is operational and enabling, not administrative.

You will:

• Develop and implement HR policies, systems and processes
• Enable effective staffing, job structuring, and performance management
• Build a disciplined recruitment, onboarding and probation system
• Ensure HR data integrity, reporting, and payroll alignment
• Support reward systems linked to performance and capability
• Drive communication, engagement, and workplace culture
• Manage employee relations and structured IR processes
• Enable training, development, and succession
• Support managers in problem-solving and people decisions

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (HR, Industrial Psychology or related), a post-graduate business relevant qualification will be a recommendation.
• 8+ years HR experience in total, preferably in a production/manufacturing environment/FMCG
• 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role
• Strong capability in:
• HR systems and processes (conceptualisation & follow-through)
• Performance management
• Recruitment and organisational structuring
• HR data, advising and reporting
