Job description
Programme context.
Luphindi Business Solutions is recruiting suitably qualified ICT professionals for a confidential, large-scale enterprise infrastructure and SD-WAN programme for our client. The programme will be delivered over five years, with main delivery hubs in Johannesburg and Durban and implementation work across South Africa. The target technology environment includes Cisco and Fortinet networking and secure SD-WAN solutions. Regular national travel is an essential requirement for deployment-related roles.
Role purpose
Lead the end-to-end delivery of a five-year national enterprise ICT infrastructure and SD-WAN programme, with accountability for governance, schedule, budget, risk, quality, stakeholder engagement and coordinated delivery across Johannesburg, Durban and national deployment sites.
Key responsibilities
· Establish and maintain the integrated programme plan, governance framework, reporting cadence and decision-making structures.
· Coordinate architecture, network deployment, cabling, site readiness, logistics, cybersecurity, service transition and operations workstreams.
· Manage programme scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, changes, budgets and resource requirements.
· Lead executive and steering committee reporting and provide accurate status, forecast and exception reporting.
· Manage client, vendor, carrier, implementation partner and internal stakeholder relationships.
· Ensure delivery quality, auditability, acceptance documentation and knowledge transfer across all workstreams.
· Drive corrective action, escalation and recovery plans where delivery deviates from agreed baselines.
· Promote compliance with project governance, health and safety, information security and client standards.
Minimum requirements
Qualification: Relevant bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
Mandatory certifications: PMP or PRINCE2 certification and ITIL certification are mandatory.
Experience: At least 10 years' experience, including leadership of large enterprise, multi-site or national ICT infrastructure programmes.
Core technical competencies: National ICT programme delivery; programme governance; budget and commercial management; RAID management; vendor management; enterprise networking and SD-WAN delivery oversight; Microsoft Project or equivalent planning tools; executive reporting.
Behavioural competencies
· Strong leadership and/or personal accountability appropriate to the seniority of the role.
· Clear written and verbal communication, with a high standard of technical and project documentation.
· Customer focus, professionalism and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
· Structured problem solving, sound judgement and timely escalation of risks and blockers.
· Ability to work under deployment pressure while maintaining quality, safety and governance standards.
Minimum candidate submission requirements
· A detailed and current CV showing complete project history, dates, responsibilities, project scale and technologies used.
· Copies of all relevant academic qualifications and professional certifications.

· Current availability and notice period, with confirmation of ability to commence on or around 1 November 2026.
· Current and expected remuneration, stated as gross monthly CTC.
· Willingness and ability to travel nationally for recurring assignments.
· Current city of residence and confirmation of preferred base: Johannesburg or Durban.
· Confirmation that the candidate is willing to accept a fixed-term contract and undergo qualification, certification, reference and background verification.
