In-Store Customer Care
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Role Overview
Conquerors Marketing is seeking an attentive and customer-focused In-Store Customer Care team member to support a positive in-store experience for customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems in the moment, and representing a brand with professionalism and care.
The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for customers in-store, helping to answer questions, resolve concerns, and ensure every interaction is handled efficiently and respectfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide accurate information about products, services, and promotions
- Assist customers with queries, concerns, and general support in-store
- Resolve customer issues promptly and escalate more complex matters when needed
- Maintain a high standard of customer service throughout every interaction
- Support the sales and customer care process by identifying customer needs
- Handle feedback, complaints, and service-related concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Keep customer areas clean, organised, and presentable
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily store operations
- Follow company procedures, service standards, and store policies at all times
- Capture and report customer feedback to support service improvements
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A customer-first mindset with a professional and positive attitude
- Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
- Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Confidence working face-to-face with a diverse range of customers
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays where required
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or in-store support
- Experience handling customer complaints or service recovery
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems or basic store processes
- Additional local language skills relevant to the Cape Town market
