A valid driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle are mandatory for this position.

This is a field-based sales role requiring regular travel to visit farmers, businesses, customers and potential clients.

Applicants without a valid driver's licence and their own reliable vehicle will not be considered.

You must be able to independently travel to customers and conduct sales activities throughout your designated area. This is not a work-from-home position and no company vehicle will be provided.

Rural Insights is a South African supplier of agricultural and small-scale industrial machinery, supplying affordable equipment directly to farmers, rural entrepreneurs, and small businesses.

We are looking for motivated Independent Sales Representatives across South Africa to introduce our products, develop customer relationships, and generate sales within their local areas.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands agriculture, machinery, farming communities, hardware, or small business development and wants to earn based on their own performance.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and develop new customers in your area
• Promote agricultural machinery and small industry equipment
• Build relationships with farmers, contractors, businesses, and entrepreneurs
• Provide customers with product information and quotations
• Follow up on leads and assist customers through the sales process
• Maintain regular communication with the Rural Insights team

Requirements:

• Sales experience preferred (agriculture, machinery, hardware, or related industries advantageous)
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Own transport and mobile phone preferred
• Knowledge of local farming or business communities is an advantage
