The IR Officer will provide support to the HR department and the Company, to ensure a harmonious working environment for all employees and ensure policy and legal compliance.

Responsibility

• Represent the Company in conciliations at the CCMA
• Represent the Company in arbitration at the CCMA
• Manage the implementation, application and drafting of all disciplinary documents that relates to misconduct
• Chairing and representing the Company during disciplinary enquiries
• Manage and conduct all grievance and incapacity procedures (poor work performance and injury/ ill health)
• Ensuring the enforcement and adherence of IR policies and procedures by advising and monitoring management and staff
• Conduct Industrial Relations related training and assist with the development of training material as and when required
• Responsible for setting up and monitoring the workplace forums
• Consult and advise management and employees with regards to current legislation and developing policies and procedures
• Conduct Company retrenchment consultations

Requirements

• National Senior Certificate/ Grade 12
• Degree or equivalent in HR / IR / LLB or related field
• 2 to 3 years’ experience in IR and CCMA matters
• Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Computer literate
• Valid drivers’ license essential
• Must be willing to travel between branches
• Emotional intelligence and Interpersonal Skills

• Rosebank, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• CCMA: 3 years (Required)
