Information Desk Officer - Menlyn Park Shopping Centre (FTC)

The successful candidate will attend to customer and tenant general queries and complaints and sell gift cards. The position is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months.

Responsibility;

• Deal effectively with customer queries and complaints
• Communicate personally and telephonically with a diverse group of shoppers and clients
• Provide feedback to Centre Management with regards to suggestions, complaints and compliments in order to provide a better shopping environment
• Control the sales of gift vouchers
• Handle cash daily
• Assist with promotional activities such as competitions and shopper incentive programs
• Control situations in the event of theft, lost children or parents etc. This involves making public announcements, notifying security etc.
• Ensure effective communication in a crisis situation
• Handle irate customers and tenants
• Provide relief for switchboard and reception
• Oversee the general operations of the Centre on weekends, i.e. efficient security, parking, escalators, lifts and air cons
• Attend to customer and tenant general queries and complaints effectively and in line with standards

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric
• 2 years general office experience
