Infrastructure Engineer

Join Our Team as an Infrastructure Engineer at Rohloff Group! The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Rohloff Group's core infrastructure environment, ensuring that servers, networks, storage, backups, security controls, and access management remain available, secure, and recoverable.

The role serves as the internal custodian of infrastructure operations and cyber resilience, working closely with specialist outsourced service providers to ensure the effective delivery of infrastructure services. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining infrastructure standards, supporting backup and disaster recovery capabilities, strengthening cybersecurity controls, and ensuring service providers deliver against agreed service levels, recovery objectives, and operational requirements.

What You'll Be Cooking Up Infrastructure Operations

• Maintain and support the organisation's on-premise server and virtual infrastructure.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, health, and capacity to ensure business continuity.
• Perform routine infrastructure maintenance, patch management, upgrades, and system housekeeping.
• Identify, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve infrastructure incidents within agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational procedures.

Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity

• Monitor enterprise backup solutions and ensure successful completion of backup schedules.
• Validate backup integrity and coordinate recovery activities where required.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain disaster recovery documentation and recovery procedures.
• Support cyber recovery readiness and broader business continuity initiatives.

Network & Connectivity

• Support network infrastructure across restaurants, regional offices, and corporate environments.
• Maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall, wireless, and core network connectivity.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify risks impacting availability.
• Work with third-party service providers to resolve connectivity and infrastructure incidents efficiently.

Access Management & Cybersecurity

• Administer user access, identity management, and security permissions.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure, Endpoint Management, and security platforms.
• Monitor security alerts and assist with incident investigation and response.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies, governance requirements, and audit standards.
• Contribute to ongoing cyber resilience, vulnerability management, and security improvement initiatives.

Vendor & Service Provider Management

• Work closely with outsourced infrastructure and cybersecurity partners.
• Coordinate infrastructure activities and technical deliverables across service providers.
• Track incidents, risks, remediation actions, and service requests through to resolution.
• Hold vendors accountable for agreed service levels, recovery objectives, and operational performance.
• Act as the internal point of contact for infrastructure service delivery and operational governance.

Qualifications What You'll Bring to the Table:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Infrastructure, or a related field.
• Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, Fortinet, CompTIA, or equivalent will be advantageous.

Experience

• 3–5 years' experience in infrastructure support, systems administration, or IT operations.
• Experience supporting Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
• Exposure to enterprise backup solutions, disaster recovery, networking, cybersecurity, and endpoint management.
• Experience working alongside outsourced technology service providers is advantageous.
