Description and Requirements
A Lenovo ISG Technical Specialist is responsible for providing deep technical expertise across servers, storage, networking, and software‑defined solutions. They work closely with sales teams, partners, and customers to design, position, and validate infrastructure architectures that meet business and workload requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Pre‑Sales Support — Deliver product expertise, solution demonstrations, and technical guidance for ThinkSystem, ThinkAgile, and Lenovo ISG technologies.
- Solution Design & Architecture — Build optimized infrastructure designs for data center modernization, virtualization, cloud, AI/ML, and edge deployments.
- Customer Engagement — Lead technical discussions, discovery sessions, and proof‑of‑concepts to ensure solutions align with customer needs.
- Partner Enablement — Train and support channel partners on Lenovo ISG offerings, competitive positioning, and best‑practice deployment models.
- Bid & Proposal Support — Contribute to RFP responses, BOM creation, sizing tools, and technical validation for complex opportunities.
- Technical Evangelism — Represent Lenovo ISG at events, webinars, and workshops, showcasing new technologies and innovations.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of servers, storage, virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and demo skills.
- Experience with VMware, Nutanix, Microsoft, Red Hat, or similar ecosystems.
- Strong problem‑solving and customer‑facing capability.
