Intermediate Onsite IT Engineer – Sandton

Are you the person people call when technology needs to actually work ?

We’re looking for a confident, capable Intermediate IT Engineer to join us in an onsite placement role in Sandton .

This isn’t a basic support position. We’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who understands how modern business IT fits together — from end-user devices and Microsoft environments through to networking, connectivity, security, troubleshooting and infrastructure.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of technical issues, working directly with users, thinking logically under pressure, and knowing when to dig deeper instead of simply applying the quickest fix.

What we’re looking for

• Strong Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting skills
• Solid Microsoft 365 knowledge
• Good understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID and user administration
• Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and Wi-Fi
• Comfortable troubleshooting switches, routers, firewalls and connectivity issues
• Understanding of endpoint security, permissions and general IT security principles
• Ability to diagnose problems methodically rather than relying on guesswork
• Good hardware and peripheral troubleshooting skills
• Confident communication with users and stakeholders
• Strong documentation and ticket-management habits
• Ability to work independently while still being part of a wider technical team

Experience working in an MSP, corporate IT environment or supporting a broad range of technologies will be a definite advantage.

Salary: R14,000 – R18,000 per month, depending on experience and technical ability
