The purpose of the internship programme is to offer university graduates, who have successfully completed their M1 (Coursework) in Industrial Organisational Psychology, the opportunity to obtain practical workplace exposure and experience in the Industrial Psychology discipline for the purposes of registering as an Industrial Psychologist with the HPCSA. This opportunity is only available to South African Citizens or permanent residents.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform duties as stipulated in the 12-month IOP internship programme (Need to be approved by the HPCSA)
- The areas to be covered will include:
o Career Psychology and Employee Well-Being
o Organisational Behaviour
o Human Resources (Personnel Psychology)
o Psychometrics (Testing and Assessments)
o Elective
o Professional Development activities and Supervision
o Professional Ethics Inherent requirements:
- Successful completion of Masters coursework (M1).
- Registration with the HPCSA as a Student Psychologist.
- Not studying full time, classes preferably after hours.

The following criteria apply to the selection of candidates: • Willing to sign an internship agreement with the UFS. • The candidate must be available for a period of twelve (12) months.
