INTERNAL SALES & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
Pietermaritzburg
Full-time | On-site
R7,000–R10,000 per month, depending on experience
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a practical, organised and customer-focused person to join our team in a varied internal sales and operations role.
The position involves customer service, quotations, order processing, administration and assisting with day-to-day operational requirements.
KEY DUTIES
- Handle customer enquiries by phone and email
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers
- Process orders, invoices and related paperwork
- Assist with product, pricing and stock enquiries
- Follow up with customers and suppliers
- Check and verify physical stock when required
- Maintain accurate information on company systems
- Assist with general sales, admin and operational duties
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- At least 2 years' relevant sales, customer service or administration experience
- Good computer, email and Excel skills
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Reliable, organised and able to follow through on tasks
- Must reside in Pietermaritzburg
- Contactable references
Experience with ERP, accounting or stock-management systems and previous experience in hardware, tools, building supplies or wholesale distribution will be advantageous.
