International Quality Control Officer

Responsibilities:

• Assist QHSE Manager with implementation and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with the latest editions of ISO 9001, API Specification Q1. (International Facilities)
• Ensure Quality Compliance in accordance with internal Procedures, in compliance with the latest editions of ISO 9001, API Specification Q1. (International Facilities)
• Verification/Auditing of Operational Tasks in accordance with implemented Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Form part of the Audit Team for the auditing of Site-Specific IMS elements not covered by Head Office (Elements include: Asset Management & Preventive Maintenance, Risk Assessment & Contingency Planning, Warehouse, Identification & Traceability, Customer Property Control, Welding Shop Control, Paint Workshop Control, Assembly Workshop Control, Inspection & Testing of Final Product, Validation of SRP, Calibration Status, Control of Non-Conforming Product, Availability of Resources).
• Evaluation and Re-evaluation of Critical Suppliers used by the International Facility.
• Assist the Company to gain or maintain Quality Management System Accreditations as nominated by management. (International Facilities)
• Maintain relevant Integrated Management System logs and documentation.
• Prepare applicable Quality reports as required.
• Assist QHSE Manager with creating internal training material.
• Survey production areas on a regular basis to establish compliance to IMS requirements. (International Facilities)
• Conduct Final Inspection of manufactured product, prior to release.
• Compile monthly Quality Reports according to company standards and requirements.
• Perform other work-related tasks as required and assigned, and
• Undergo training when required.

Skills:

The following are the minimum skills required to perform the function:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Excellent written communicator (Email; WhatsApp; MS Teams).
• Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Confidence to escalate and resolve queries.
• Running and compiling of reports based on large sets of data.
• Accurate capturing of information and attention to detail.
• Focus on analysing and solving problems.
• Dedicated to determining and aligning with best practices.
• Practically minded in problem solving and application of theory to reality.

Qualifications:

• High school certificate.
• NDE Qualifications (MT, PT)
• Welding Inspector – Level 2
• Fundamentals of API Specification Q1(Preferred).
• Internal Auditing of Quality Management Systems.

Experience:

Proven industry related proficiency based on 5 years of experience in the following fields.

• Quality Assurance / Quality Control Management.
• Auditing of Quality Management Systems.

Place of work:

• The Employee will be based at the company facility in Atlas Gardens, Durbanville. The Employee will be expected to report to place of work at his/her own expense. This position requires extension travel away from base for prolonged periods of time.

• Do you have experience compiling quality reports and analysing large sets of operational data?
• Have you created or assisted with internal training material before?
• Are you comfortable conducting regular inspections and compliance surveys in production areas?
• Have you conducted final inspections of manufactured products prior to release?
• Do you hold valid NDE qualifications in MT and PT?
• Are you qualified as a Welding Inspector Level 2?
• Have you completed training in API Specification Q1 fundamentals?
• Do you have Internal Auditing certification for Quality Management Systems?
