At Glenstantia Primary School in Pretoria, Afrikaans is taught as the school’s First Additional Language, making this role an important part of the academic journey of learners in the Intersen Phase. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Intersen Phase Teacher who can bring Afrikaans to life in the classroom and help learners build the language knowledge, confidence and proficiency they need as they progress through the senior primary years.

What We Are Looking For

• A recognised REQV14 qualification – a four-year Education Diploma or Bachelor of Education in the Senior Phase
• Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in the Intersen Phase
• Experience teaching Afrikaans as a First Additional Language in the Intersen Phase
• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written
• SACE registration and a valid certificate
• Computer literacy, with the ability to integrate technology into teaching
• Willingness and ability to participate in extramural and co-curricular activities

Applicants must have no criminal record and must provide a valid police clearance certificate.
