Job description
Job Overview
We are a rapidly growing, forward-thinking plant-based food and beverage company dedicated to crafting high-quality nut butters, milks, cultured products, and dry goods. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Inventory Controller to join our fast-paced production team.
In this entry-level role, you will be the backbone of our stock accuracy, ensuring that raw ingredients (from bulk peanuts to packaging material) and finished goods are perfectly tracked. Utilizing our Cin7 ERP system and integrated Warehouse Management System (WMS), you will help bridge the gap between our warehouse floors and production lines, playing a vital role in keeping our plant-based operations running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
● System Management & Data Entry: Maintain real-time inventory accuracy by logging stock movements, receipts, and production outputs into the Cin7 ERP and integrated WMS.
● Cycle Counting & Audits: Conduct daily and weekly physical cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
● Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve stock variances between physical counts and system records, reporting findings to the Production Manager.
● Lot & Expiration Tracking: Monitor batch numbers, lot codes, and expiration dates strictly adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to minimize waste and ensure food safety compliance.
● Production Support: Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure required raw ingredients are available and staged for upcoming production runs.
● Receiving & Quality Checks: Assist in receiving incoming shipments, verifying purchase orders against physical delivery, and inspecting goods for quality or damage before system log-in.
Minimum Requirements
● Experience: 0–2 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, logistics, or a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Food & Beverage experience is a major plus, but not required).
● Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration is a plus.
● Technical Skills: Strong computer literacy. Familiarity with ERP software (specifically Cin7) or modern WMS platforms is highly advantageous, though training will be provided for the right candidate. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
● Core Competencies:
○ Exceptional attention to detail and strong basic mathematical skills.
○ Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
○ Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across warehouse and production teams.
○ A proactive, problem-solving mindset suited for a dynamic environment.
Work Location: In person
