About the Role
Romens Clothing Company is looking for an organised, detail-oriented and reliable Inventory & Procurement Controller to join our head office team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the process from supplier orders and seasonal procurement through to stock receiving, system uploads, stock checks, supplier reconciliations and general inventory administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier orders from placement through to delivery.
- Assist with seasonal procurement and planning for the following year.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, quantities and delivery dates.
- Check supplier confirmations against orders.
- Capture and upload new stock onto the system.
- Maintain accurate styles, SKUs, colours, sizes, quantities and pricing.
- Check received stock against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and stock movements.
- Assist with regular stock counts and annual stocktakes.
- Process stock adjustments where required.
- Perform supplier reconciliations and follow up on discrepancies.
- Check supplier invoices against orders and received stock.
- Prepare basic inventory and procurement reports.
- Assist with basic accounting and general administration.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation.
- Work closely with suppliers, stores, warehouse, procurement and finance departments.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 – essential
- Previous experience in inventory, stock control, procurement or purchasing.
- Experience in the clothing/fashion industry will be an advantage.
- Experience with inventory management or stock control software systems will be an advantage.
- Strong Excel and computer skills.
- Good numerical and reconciliation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic accounting knowledge will be an advantage.
