Investigator

At Chamberlain, protecting our people, stock and operations is essential to the strength of our business. We are looking for a principled and observant Investigator who can identify risk, establish the facts and ensure that incidents are handled thoroughly and professionally.

This role calls for sound judgement, integrity and the confidence to handle sensitive matters calmly. You will support management with reliable evidence and strengthen the controls that prevent loss and protect Chamberlain's reputation.

Purpose of this role:

To identify, investigate and reduce security, health and safety, fraud, theft and operational risks across Chamberlain branches. The Investigator ensures that controls and procedures are followed, gathers and preserves credible evidence, supports disciplinary and legal processes, and recommends practical measures to prevent future incidents.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Min 10 years relevant experience in investigations, loss control, security or risk management.

· Practical experience investigating theft, fraud, misconduct or other workplace incidents.

· Ability to obtain and record statements, review CCTV footage and compile clear supporting evidence.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with accurate report-writing and administration.

· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with complete integrity.

· Willingness to work across Chamberlain branches and follow investigations through to conclusion.

· Contactable references and willingness to undergo relevant background screening.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Investigate theft, fraud, misconduct, workplace violence, vandalism, accidents, injuries on duty and other incidents.

· Gather, record and preserve evidence, including CCTV footage, print-outs, written statements and investigation records.

· Prepare documentation for disciplinary hearings, civil claims and criminal matters; submit statements to the police and testify when required.

· Report stock losses, crime, accidents, waste, damaged stock and other matters with a financial or operational impact.

· Provide Directors and Management with accurate, timely feedback and follow every investigation through to closure.

· Conduct spot-checks and random searches, identify suspicious behaviour, review risk areas and recommend preventative measures.

· Monitor compliance relating to access points, CCTV, cash office processes, refunds, damaged stock and stock adjustments.

· Guide, train and support Loss Control Officers and staff on security procedures, threat awareness and effective loss prevention.

· Help ensure the safety and security of Chamberlain, its employees, customers, stock and reputation.

Pay: R1,00 - R2,00 per month
