Investor Relations Consultant (Client Services)- Century City - Hybrid

Cape Town | Hybrid (Century City) | R25,000 to R27,000 per month

About the role

We are a fast-growing, FCA-regulated investment platform looking for an IR Consultant to join our Cape Town team. This is a client services role at heart. You will be the first point of contact for our investors, many of whom are high net worth individuals who expect a high standard of care. You will help them with queries, guide them through their investment journey, and make sure every interaction leaves them feeling looked after.

This is not a sales role. Success here is measured by how quickly and how well you resolve investor queries, not by targets. If you genuinely enjoy helping people and solving problems, you will do well.

We are a small, close-knit team rather than a large corporate. There is not always a fixed process to follow, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable, thinks on their feet, and is comfortable using their own judgement to work things out.

What you will do

• Be the first point of contact for investors, including high net worth clients, across email and chat
• Handle queries accurately and promptly, making people feel heard and helped
• Pick apart and work through queries that are not always clear, working out what the investor really needs
• Know when to handle something yourself and when to escalate or check before responding
• Support investors with portfolio questions, app and account access, and general enquiries
• Keep accurate records and flag recurring issues to the team

What we are looking for

• 2 to 5 years in a client services, client support, or investor support role
• Experience dealing with high net worth or premium clients
• Adaptable and self-driven. Comfortable in a fast-moving team without a rigid playbook
• A genuine, service-led approach. Patient, empathetic, and focused on getting things right
• Strong, clear, and warm written communication
• Careful and honest with information, especially anything involving people's money

Nice to have

• Understanding of KYC, compliance, or onboarding processes
• Familiarity with investment products, funds, or wealth concepts
• Experience in a fintech, startup, or scale-up environment

This role is not for you if

• Your background is primarily in sales or business development
• You are looking to move into relationship management or financial advisory
• You prefer a highly structured, corporate environment with a fixed playbook
