Role Description
The Invoicing & Sales Clerk position is a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Johannesburg. This role is responsible for generating accurate invoices, capturing sales orders, and ensuring all billing information is correctly recorded in the company’s systems.
Day-to-day tasks include verifying customer details, checking pricing and discounts, reconciling documents, and coordinating with the sales team to confirm order status.
The clerk will respond to customer queries about invoices and payments, follow up on outstanding amounts, and provide clear, professional communication via phone and email.
The role also involves maintaining organized records, preparing basic reports for management, and supporting general office and sales administration as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and accuracy in invoicing and data entry.
* Proficiency with office software, including **Excel and Word**, and familiarity with billing or ERP systems.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills for engaging with customers and internal teams.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Customer service mindset, including professionalism, patience, and problem-solving ability.
* **At least 1 year of work experience in invoicing.**
* Previous experience in invoicing, sales administration, or bookkeeping is beneficial.
* Matric or equivalent qualification.
* Additional training in accounting, administration, or sales is an advantage.
* Ability to work on-site in the **City of Johannesburg** and collaborate in a team-based environment.
