ISO 45001 Project Manager – SAATCA / SAIOSH

About the Position

AA Business Consultants is seeking an experienced ISO 45001 Project Manager to join our team for a major Occupational Health & Safety Management System development and implementation project.

The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and certification readiness of an ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System across a large, multi-site organisation.

Minimum Requirements – MANDATORY

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, SHEQ, Safety, Environment & Hygiene or a closely related field.
• Current SAATCA or SAIOSH accreditation/registration – mandatory.
• Proven experience in ISO 45001 implementation.
• Proven experience in ISO 45001 auditing.
• Valid competency certificate in ISO 45001 interpretation and implementation.
• Valid competency certificate in ISO 45001 auditing.
• Strong knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Strong experience in hazard identification and risk assessment.
• Knowledge of OHS legal and regulatory compliance.
• Experience developing and implementing OHS policies, procedures and controls.
• Strong project management and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Experience

Candidates with 7+ years of relevant ISO 45001 implementation experience will be strongly preferred.

Experience in large, multi-site, public-sector, industrial, conservation, tourism or similarly complex environments will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Lead ISO 45001 implementation activities.
• Conduct OHS gap assessments.
• Conduct baseline OHS assessments.
• Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Develop and implement the OHS Management System.
• Develop policies, procedures, processes and controls.
• Evaluate applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate implementation across multiple sites/functions.
• Facilitate OHS training and awareness.
• Support incident management and corrective-action processes.
• Coordinate internal audit activities.
• Facilitate management review preparation.
• Prepare the organisation for certification.
• Monitor project risks, milestones and deliverables.
• Prepare professional project reports for management.
