What this role is all about:

The IT and Cyber Risk Business Partner plays a key role in strengthening and embedding risk management across a complex and evolving technology landscape. Working across IT, cyber security, privacy and project risk, the role provides independent oversight, expert guidance and constructive challenge to help ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed and managed. Partnering with stakeholders across the business, this position supports informed decision-making, enhances risk maturity and helps drive a strong risk-aware culture that enables the safe and successful delivery of strategic objectives. Key Actions

• Embed and promote effective IT and cyber risk management practices across the business
• Facilitate risk identification, assessment and control review activities
• Provide independent oversight and challenge of technology and cyber risks
• Support the development and monitoring of key risk indicators and risk appetite measures
• Maintain accurate risk reporting, dashboards and management information for a range of stakeholders
• Monitor and oversee risk registers, ensuring risks are appropriately recorded and managed
• Facilitate risk workshops and assessments for strategic initiatives and projects
• Partner with stakeholders across technology and business teams to strengthen risk awareness and decision-making
• Support assurance, audit and review activities, tracking actions through to completion
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Vitality's enterprise, IT and cyber risk frameworks

What do you need to thrive?

• Experience in IT risk, cyber risk, technology governance or enterprise risk management environments
• Strong understanding of IT and cyber risk frameworks, such as NIST, COBIT, HITRUST or ITIL
• Experience conducting risk assessments, control reviews and risk workshops
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, processes and governance practices
• Experience producing risk reporting, dashboards and management information for stakeholders
• Ability to analyse complex data sets and translate findings into meaningful insights and recommendations
• Experience supporting projects, change initiatives or systems implementations from a risk perspective
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
• Experience working across multiple teams and building strong relationships in a complex business environment
