Job description
AKHA Technology Group is expanding its network of reliable IT Field Support Technicians across South Africa. We are looking for technically capable, professional individuals to provide on-site IT support to retail and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities
Successful technicians may be assigned to:
- Troubleshoot and replace IT hardware and peripherals
- Install, replace and test POS devices and pin pads
- Provide printer and peripheral support
- Perform basic networking and cabling work
- Assist with equipment installations and technology roll-outs
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Liaise professionally with store/site personnel
- Complete job cards accurately
- Submit photographs and other proof of completed work
- Provide timely updates on attendance, progress and job completion
Requirements
- Practical IT support, field support or technical experience
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
- Basic networking and cabling knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Smartphone with WhatsApp and access to mobile data
- Reliable transport or reliable access to transport
- Ability to travel to customer sites within your service area
- Professional appearance and good customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Ability to follow technical instructions and escalation procedures
Advantageous: CompTIA A+, Network+ (N+), IT/ICT diploma or certificate, networking qualifications, POS experience, retail technology experience, structured cabling experience or equivalent practical field experience.
Pay: R200,00 - R300,00 per hour
Work Location: On the road
