Our client, based in Boksburg, is seeking a recent IT graduate to join their team for a 12-month internship. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated candidate who is eager to gain practical experience in IT support, end-user support, network troubleshooting, and day-to-day IT operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide basic PC and desktop support to staff members.
- Assist with setting up, configuring, and preparing PCs for new employees.
- Connect printers for users and troubleshoot printer-related issues.
- Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other Office applications.
- Track, update, and action support tickets on ServiceNow.
- Provide basic LAN and WAN support.
- Assist employees with mobile device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues.
- Escalate more complex technical issues to the relevant senior IT team members.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and completed actions.
Job Requirements
- Completed Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- Recent graduate seeking practical workplace experience.
- One year of experience in a similar IT support role will be advantageous.
- Solid understanding of core IT principles, including hardware, software, networking, and end-user support.
- Computer literacy, with Microsoft Office essential; exposure to additional technical software will be advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt within a technical environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
