IT Hardware Sales Consultant – Computer Retail & Technical Sales

We are looking for a sharp, well-spoken IT Hardware Sales Consultant to join our sales team.

This is not a basic retail sales position. We need someone who understands computers, laptops, components, upgrades, gaming PCs, business machines, and customer needs. The right candidate must be able to advise customers properly, quote accurately, follow up professionally, and help close sales.

The ideal person is confident, fast-thinking, reliable, and genuinely interested in technology.

Responsibilities

Assist walk-in, online, and phone customers with computer hardware sales
Recommend suitable laptops, desktops, components, upgrades, and accessories
Prepare quotes and follow up with customers
Understand customer needs and suggest the correct products
Handle product availability, pricing, and order updates
Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent service
Work closely with the technical/workshop team when needed
Keep up to date with current tech products and specifications

Requirements

Good knowledge of computer hardware is essential
Must understand basic laptop and desktop specifications
Must be able to explain products clearly to customers
Strong communication and customer service skills
Sales experience is preferred
Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be willing to learn and improve daily
Experience in a computer/IT retail environment will be a big advantage

Salary: Market-related, based on experience and technical knowledge.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Randburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
