We are seeking an experienced IT Hardware Warehouse Manager to oversee the management of IT hardware, including laptops, desktops, components, and other data‑bearing assets. The role is responsible for warehouse operations, people leadership, inventory accuracy, goods receiving, secure data destruction, e‑waste disposal, and SHEQ compliance.
You will manage high‑volume IT asset flows, ensure SLA adherence, protect asset value and data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across the handling, processing and storage.
Ideal for a hands‑on leader with strong experience managing IT hardware.
The incumbent will be reporting directly to the CEO and actively liaise with other functional departments within the company.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
OPERATIONS
Warehouse Operation:
- Ensure smooth day to day functioning of the warehouse by collaborating with 4 functional warehouse team leaders, and all relevant stakeholders.
Goods Receiving:
- Manage and delegate to warehouse team leaders the task of verifying all data bearing devices on the waybill against the matrix and on the waybill against the Disposal Report and ensure accurate data is captured.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Management System (SHEQMS):
- Develop, maintain, implement, revise and recommend departmental policies and procedures.
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures within department.
- Resolve all Non-conformances, deviations or challenges using the Ariscu system.
- Record all safety issues on the Ariscu system.
- Carry out duties as an appointed SHE Supervisor and Stacking Supervisor within designated departments and adhere to the SHEQ policy and relevant departmental policies.
- Manage the maintain Destroy Data Shredders, video editing equipment, destroy Data servers, Linux servers, Forklift and other equipment.
ADMINISTRATION
Stock Control:
- Manage stock control quarterly, and file stock count forms with Financial Assistant.
- Manage the Daily cycle counts for laptops, desktops, components and submit stock adjustments to Financial Assistant.
- Manage stock returns from suppliers.
- Manage the returns to suppliers to ensure they are within warranty period and that suppliers’ delivery notes are filed.
COMMUNICATION
General Communication:
- Actively keep other departments and subordinates informed of significant changes and challenges within the warehouse in order to allow corrective action to take place without affecting stakeholder’s turnaround times.
- Effectively manage the team leaders and communicate regularly to ensure all members of your department are up to date.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Learning and Development:
- Manage and set targets for Subordinates to ensure department runs efficiently.
- Conduct periodic reviews and measure progress as set.
- Encourage subordinates to develop new and relevant skills required to enhance job performance.
- Effectively manage the ERP knowledge transfer within the warehouse.
Leadership:
- Guide and mentor subordinates and ensure good conduct is adhered to as per company code of good conduct.
- Initiate disciplinary action where policy and procedures are being violated.
- Liaise with HR regarding reward allocation and staff recognition (Half days, Lunches, etc.)
Recruitment Profile
Experience:
- 5 years’ proven experience as a Warehouse Manager preferably managing IT Assets
- 3 years’ proven experience in a supervisory role/people management
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
- 3 years’ proven experience as a SHE Supervisor and Stacking Supervisor
- 3 years’ experience of an ERP or Warehouse Management system
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Certificate in IT Hardware Related Qualification (A+) (A must)
- Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management or similar (A must)
- Stacking and Storing Qualification (Advantegeous)
- Inventory Management Qualification (Advantegeous)
- SHE Supervisor Qualification (Advantegeous)
Other:
- Computer Proficient (Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
