Job description
We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist for our client in Bedfordview, Gauteng.
IT Infrastructure Support Specialist maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the core hardware, software, and networking systems that keep an organization running
Requirements -
- Grade 12
- A relevant IT Diploma/Degree, 3 to 5+ years of experience, and certifications in Microsoft, Networking, or Cloud environments
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert/Associate (MCSE/MCSA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), or equivalent Microsoft Azure/Office 365 qualifications
- Desktop support, peripheral setup, active directory password resets, and ticket routing
- Server maintenance, network switch configuration, virtualization, and backup administration
- Systems Administration**:** Installing, configuring, and upgrading corporate operating systems like Windows Server and Linux.
- Network Maintenance: Troubleshooting core networking elements including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Cloud Operations: Managing user access, virtual machines, and services within environments like Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS.
- Virtualization & Storage: Allocating storage networks (SAN) and configuring virtual environments using VMware or Hyper-V.
- Data Security & Backups: Executing disaster recovery procedures, checking daily server backups, and maintaining firewalls.
- Service Desk Management: Handling level 1 to level 3 technical escalations according to strict ITIL framework SLAs.
