Job Description Raubex Infra is a Bloemfontein based subsidiary of the Raubex Group. We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the reliable, secure and cost-effective delivery of information technology services across Raubex Infra.

The successful candidate will provide leadership across IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, service delivery, business systems, vendor management and technology projects. The role will translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and advance automation, artificial intelligence, cloud and modern workplace initiatives that improve operational performance.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Matric), or equivalent.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive IT experience across technical support, infrastructure, networks, systems or cloud services, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in IT service delivery, cybersecurity, business continuity, budgeting, vendor management and project implementation.
• Practical experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows, Exchange, Active Directory, identity, Intune and endpoint management.
• Experience with server, virtualisation, LAN/WAN, fibre, wireless and remote-site connectivity environments.
• Working knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, information security, data protection and IT risk management.
• Experience with automation and scripting, including PowerShell and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Practical exposure to AI-assisted tools, modern workplace technologies, data analysis and reporting.
• Experience supporting a multi-site, operational, engineering or construction environment will be advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications, such as Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, cloud, networking, cybersecurity or project management, will be advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites and provide after-hours support when required.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Develop and execute an IT operational plan aligned with company priorities, approved budgets, risk requirements and digital transformation objectives.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, procedures, service levels and governance controls across sites and business units.
• Advise senior management on technology risks, opportunities, investment priorities and the business impact of proposed solutions.
• Oversee the availability, performance and lifecycle management of end-user computing, servers, networks, connectivity, cloud services, communications and site infrastructure.
• Ensure Helpdesk requests are prioritised, assigned, escalated and resolved within agreed service levels, and address recurring issues through root-cause analysis.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls, including identity and access management, endpoint protection, patching, monitoring and user awareness.
• Ensure backups are monitored and tested, and maintain fit-for-purpose disaster recovery and IT continuity plans for critical systems and sites.
• Coordinate the response to IT incidents and security events, including containment, communication, recovery, documentation and lessons learned.
• Oversee the support and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365, endpoint management, SaaS platforms and other core business systems.
• Partner with operational and support functions to improve digital workflows and implement practical solutions that create measurable business value.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities using PowerShell, Power Automate, Power Apps and other fit-for-purpose tools.
• Use AI-assisted tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve support, documentation, reporting and decision-making, with appropriate governance and controls.
• Lead, support and develop the IT Technician, allocate work effectively and assist in defining future resource and capability requirements as the IT function develops.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex service, infrastructure and stakeholder issues.
• Prepare and manage IT operating and capital budgets, procurement, software licensing, supplier contracts and vendor performance.
• Maintain effective control over IT assets, stock, warranties, equipment and lifecycle planning.
• Plan and oversee IT projects, upgrades and implementations from business case through to handover and benefits review.
• Ensure systems and infrastructure changes are tested, documented, secured, supported and adopted before transition into business-as-usual operations.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, inventories, support procedures, network diagrams and configuration records.
• Perform other reasonable duties and collaborate across departments in support of company objectives.
