IT Sales Consultant

A well established managed IT services provider delivering innovative technology solutions to businesses across South Africa is looking for a motivated and energetic Junior to Mid-Level IT Sales Executive to join our team and help grow both our new business and maintain our existing client portfolio. Based in Johannesburg's Northern Suburbs, this role offers an exciting opportunity to build a career in managed ICT sales while working with a broad range of solutions and industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, identifying customer requirements, and presenting technology solutions that deliver real business value.

You will work closely with technical and operational teams to provide clients with tailored solutions across managed services, cloud technologies, connectivity, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Generate and qualify sales leads.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations.
• Develop strategic relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.

Account Management

• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Grow revenue within existing accounts.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction.

Sales Administration

• Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation.
• Manage opportunities through the CRM system.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting process.
• Follow up on proposals and drive opportunities to closure.

Product & Industry Knowledge

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Participate in product training and development initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design suitable client solutions.

Minimum Requirements

Essential

• Matric certificate.
• 1–3 years' experience in IT, technology, or business-to-business sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.
• Self-motivated with a passion for achieving targets.

Advantageous

• Experience selling Microsoft 365, VoIP, Connectivity, Managed Services, Backup, or Cloud solutions.
• IT hardware or technical background.
• Experience with CRM and pipeline management systems.
• Previous exposure to CCTV, Access Control, or Time & Attendance solutions.
