The Opportunity
As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide first- and second-line technical support to employees across the business. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and cloud-based issues while maintaining IT systems, user accounts, devices, and security standards.
Working closely with Operations and Leadership, you will help maintain a secure and productive technology environment while supporting the implementation of new systems, applications, and business technologies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, delivering excellent customer service, and continuously improving IT operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Support
- Provide first- and second-line technical support to employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
- Support Windows and macOS devices.
- Troubleshoot printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and remote working equipment.
- Escalate complex technical issues where required.
User Administration
- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and business application access.
- Configure user permissions and security settings.
- Support password resets and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Maintain accurate IT asset and user records.
Cloud & Business Systems Support
- Support HubSpot CRM, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and other business applications.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Install, configure, and maintain business software.
- Support cloud collaboration platforms and productivity tools.
- Monitor application performance and availability.
Network & Security
- Assist with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
- Maintain endpoint security and antivirus solutions.
- Monitor system updates, backups, and patch management.
- Support cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
- Assist with incident response and security investigations.
Device Management
- Prepare and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Maintain hardware inventory and asset registers.
- Coordinate equipment replacements and repairs.
- Ensure devices comply with company security standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record support requests using the IT service desk or ticketing system.
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Produce IT support reports and service metrics.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where required.
Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to IT systems and support processes.
- Assist with implementing new technologies and automation.
- Participate in IT projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and cybersecurity trends.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured by:
- First Response Time.
- Average Resolution Time.
- First Contact Resolution rate.
- User satisfaction.
- System uptime and availability.
- Ticket backlog management.
- Security compliance.
- Documentation quality.
Required Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT Support, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with cloud-based applications and collaboration tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is advantageous:
- HubSpot CRM
- Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
- Intune or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
- Cybersecurity best practices
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
