IT Support & Systems Coordinator

Arthur Ford is looking for a dedicated internal IT Support & Systems Coordinator to support Head Office and our network of 135+ retail stores.

This is a hands-on support and coordination role. You will be the first point of contact for day-to-day technology issues, keep our systems running reliably and work closely with external service providers so our stores can trade without unnecessary disruption.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support (remote, telephonic and desk-side) for Windows devices, printers, scanners, POS terminals, user access and basic connectivity issues
• Log, prioritise and track incidents through to verified resolution
• Support users on our cloud-based retail POS system and related store equipment
• Act as the internal contact for payment and connectivity service providers
• Administer our VoIP phone system (3CX), including users, extensions and basic troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate records of equipment, licences, users and provider contacts
• Apply agreed IT controls (MFA, standard setups, access management)
• Identify repeat issues and recommend practical improvements

What we’re looking for

• Matric plus a relevant IT diploma, certificate or recognised technical qualification
• At least 3 years’ hands-on IT support experience (retail, POS or multi-site experience is a strong advantage)
• Practical experience with Windows laptops and Microsoft 365 user administration
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and the ability to diagnose basic issues before escalating
• Clear communication skills and the patience to support non-technical users under trading pressure
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to stores when required
• Strong ownership mindset — you take issues from first report to confirmed closure

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud-based retail POS systems (ERPLY or similar)
• 3CX or other VoIP administration
• Retail payment terminals or tender integrations
• Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID, Intune or SharePoint

What we offer

• Permanent full-time position
• Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience)
• Office-based role at our Head Office in Shakas Head, Ballito, with travel to stores as needed
