IT Technician

IT TECHNICIAN

We are a KZN-based radiology company looking for a skilled and experienced IT Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, networks and related systems. This role is ideal for a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering excellent user support.

Pre-requisites:

Must have a Senior Certificate.

A+ and N+ qualifications are required.

MCSE and Microsoft Office 365 qualifications are advantageous.

Valid driver’s licence with access to a reliable personal vehicle for call.

Technical Skills required:

Advanced networking knowledge

· Ability to identify between different network devices

· Proficient is tracing/terminating and patching CAT 5/6 cabling

· Must be able to work in a network cabinet to troubleshoot issues

Advanced hardware knowledge

· PC’s, Printers, scanners, telephones CCTV Camera’s, WIFI, Generator and UPS.

· Must be able to troubleshoot video card issues and multiple monitor setups

Advanced software knowledge

· VmWare

· Veeam

· Operating systems Windows 7,8,10 & 11.

· Basic Linux to troubleshoot network

· Microsoft O365, Teams & Sharepoint

· Voip

· N-Central/ Anydesk

Competencies required:

Manage all internal queries/ issues:

· Ability to troubleshoot telephonically with our staff and Drs

· Ability to manage i.e. setup and configure all hardware

· Ability to manage and resolve all software related queries including: RIS, PACS, 3cx VOIP, Sharepoint, MS-Office & O365, Email, Internet and browser

Manage all external queries/ issues

· Ability to troubleshoot telephonically with third party vendors

Manage Referring Doctors & Hospital Access

· Referring Drs connectivity issues relating to hospital network or private network

· Respond to email requests for images & reports

Advanced Networking experience

· Ability to troubleshoot all networking issues.

· Preferable Fortigate/Sophos experience

· Cabling experience

VmWare and Veeam experience

· Setting up and configuring VM’s with OS and drivers

· Manage host resources and perform server migrations

· Ability to manage backups i.e. setup, edit and monitor backups

Availability

· Being on after hours IT support

· Travelling to hospitals and Drs residences

· Being available on short notice
