IT Technician

Job Advert Summary

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting and mantainance of the organisation's IT system to ensure smooth, efficient operations and seamless user expirience.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent
• Diploma/Certificate in IT related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role (including remote desktop applications and help

desk software)

• Proficiency with Windows

• Mac operating systems (advantageous)

• Familiarity with basic networking concepts and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

• Certificates required CompTIA A+ & N+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, ITIL framework

• Driver's Licence

Duties and Responsibilities

• Onboarding and off-boarding of users on the IT hardware, software and network.
• Provide support to all employees, ensuring accurate diagnosis and resolving of technical

issues in a timely manner.

• Manage end-to-end ticketing system in line with the ITIL framework to achieve agreed

SLAs

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in various systems, ensuring

compliance with company policies and security protocols.

• Conduct routine maintenance and updates on software and hardware to optimize

system performance.

• Setup and maintenance of Audio Visual (AV) equipment for meetings.
• Manage IT asset management register.
• Update and maintain knowledge base articles database.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives to improve IT

services.

• Procuring of IT related hardware and software on the company's ERP system.
• Support the IT team in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including

LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connections.

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, IP telephones, including

mobile services and other IT equipment.

• Provide ad hoc IT related duties as and when required.
• May require occasional after-hours support for urgent IT issues.
• Liaise with external vendors and service providers when required.
