Job Title: IT Technician / Technical Support & Sales Consultant
Location: Johannesburg CBD, Gauteng
Job Type: Full-time, In person
Salary: R5,000
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, people-focused IT professional to join our team. This role combines technical support, hardware repairs, and customer-facing sales
you'll be just as comfortable troubleshooting a network issue as you are helping a customer choose the right Pc, laptop or hardware in Store
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot PC, laptop, and software issues
- Perform RAM and SSD upgrades, installations, and basic hardware repairs
- Install and configure Windows and software
- Assist with basic networking: routers, Wi-Fi, IP configuration, and MFPs
- Help customers select the right computers, components, and accessories
- Process sales and support day-to-day store operations
- Receive, check, and pack stock; assist with deliveries when required
- Build/disassemble PCs and provision equipment for new team members
- Keep the store and workshop area clean and organised
Requirements
- Matric plus A+/N+ certification or equivalent IT qualification
- 2–3 years of hands-on IT support, repair, or retail tech experience
- Strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Basic networking knowledge
- Valid driver's licence and own reliable vehicle
- Must currently reside in the East Rand
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willing to work retail hours, including weekends
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Advantageous
- Previous IT retail or sales experience
- Additional IT certifications
- Experience with networking equipment or printers
- Experience in an IT repair/workshop environment
