IT Technician

OUR well respected Client in the IT Tech Industry is urgently looking for a motivated, reliable and customer-focused **IT Technician** to join their team in Bloemfontein.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with people and providing excellent IT support to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide first- and second-line technical support to clients.* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.* Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.* Set up and maintain Windows operating systems and applications.* Troubleshoot network, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues.* Assist with the installation and maintenance of routers, switches and network equipment.* Perform preventative maintenance and general IT system checks.* Assist with Microsoft, email and user account support.* Install, configure and troubleshoot antivirus and security software.* Assist with backups and basic data-recovery procedures.* Manage and maintain IT equipment and hardware.* Keep accurate records of equipment, repairs and support requests.* Provide on-site and remote technical support where required.* Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to clients.* Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.* Maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* Grade 12 / Matric.* IT-related qualification or relevant technical certification preferred.* **2–3 years' experience in an IT support/technician role** preferred.* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.* Basic to intermediate networking knowledge.* Good hardware and software troubleshooting skills.* Valid driver's licence preferred.* Good command of English & Afrikaans
