IT Vendor Manager

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for an IT Vendor Manager who will be responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with IT vendors and service providers across the Group CIO organization. The role ensures vendors deliver services and solutions in line with contractual commitments, performance expectations, cost controls, and strategic objectives, while supporting consistent governance and risk management across the vendor landscape.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in IT vendor management, service management, or commercial roles.
• Experience working with managed service providers and technology vendors.
• Experience in large or multi-vendor environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Vendor relationship and performance management

• Manage day-to-day relationships with IT vendors and service providers across the Group CIO organization.
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and contractual
• Address performance issues and drive corrective actions

Contract and commercial management

• Support contract management, renewals, and renegotiations in line with procurement and legal processes.
• Track vendors spend and support cost optimization and value-for-money
• Ensure commercial terms are understood and adhered to by vendors and internal

Governance, risk, and compliance

• Ensure vendors comply with Dis-Chem policies, security requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and manage vendor-related risks, including operational, security, and dependency risks.
• Support audits, reviews, and reporting related to vendor performance

Stakeholder engagement and coordination

• Act as the primary interface between vendors and internal IT
• Coordinate vendor involvement across delivery, operations, and support
• Provide clear communication and escalation paths for vendor-related

Continuous improvement

• Identify opportunities to rationalize vendors and improve service quality and efficiency.

Competencies

• Strong experience managing IT vendors and service providers.
• Good understanding of IT service delivery, SLAs, and commercial frameworks.
• Ability to manage performance, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a structured and governance-focused mindset

• Vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs.
• Cost control and value optimization across IT vendors.
