FRONT DESK COORDINATORS / BACK-UP THERAPISTS

Shambala Wellness Spa is looking for two professional, friendly and highly organised individuals to join our Front Desk Team from 1 October 2026.

This is primarily a Front Desk Coordinator position, with the added responsibility of assisting as a Back-Up Therapist when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Well presented, friendly and professional at all times
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Front Desk, Hospitality or Spa environment
• Previous SpaGuru experience is an advantage
• Must be highly organised and able to multitask
• Must remain focused, calm and level-headed during busy periods or conflict situations
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English
• Confident communicating with clients in person, telephonically, via WhatsApp and email
• Computer literate and comfortable with general administration, bookings and payments
• Good retail and treatment recommendation skills
• Must be a team player and willing to assist wherever required
• No visible tattoos or piercings while working at the Front Desk, with the exception of ear piercings
• Must be available to work weekends and shifts as required

BACK-UP THERAPIST

As these positions will also provide treatment support when required, a Beauty Therapy qualification and practical treatment experience are required. Candidates should be confident performing spa and beauty treatments when needed.

POSITION DETAILS

Positions Available: 2
Starting Salary: From R7,500 per month
Contract: Initial 3-month contract with the opportunity to become permanent
Expected Hours: 45 hours per week
Available From: 1 October 2026
Location: Shambala Wellness Spa, Walmer, Gqeberha

PLEASE NOTE

Shortlisted candidates must be available to complete a 1–2 day practical trial at the Shambala front desk as part of our selection process, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
