Job description

THE VILLAGE NEWS is expanding its newsroom and seeks a dynamic Senior Journalist to join the team.

REQUIREMENTS

· Strong writing and language skills (English essential).

· Proven ability to cover a wide variety of news topics.

· Experience in online journalism.

· Proficiency in using social media platforms.

· Ability to use a digital camera for photography and videography.

· Must have own reliable transport and valid driver’s licence.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

· Willingness to work overtime and over weekends when required.

· Know media law.

· Possess good interpersonal skills.

We are looking for a motivated go-getter, problem-solver and community-driven storyteller with a passion for local journalism

Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
