Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

· Bookkeeping and Accounting

· Process and capture financial transactions accurately and timeously.

· Maintain accounting records, including cashbooks, general ledgers, debtors and creditors.

· Process and reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.

· Capture and process supplier invoices, customer invoices and expense claims.

· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

· Allocate payments and receipts accurately.

· Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate outstanding or unreconciled items.

· Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.

· Maintain supporting documentation and ensure accounting records are complete and properly filed.

· Tax and Compliance Support

· Assist with the preparation of VAT reconciliations and supporting schedules.

· Assist with the preparation and submission of routine statutory returns under supervision.

· Prepare supporting documentation required for SARS queries, audits and reviews.

· Assist with maintaining accurate client tax and accounting records.

· Client and Administrative Support

· Request outstanding information and supporting documents from clients.

· Follow up on incomplete records and outstanding accounting information.

· Maintain organised electronic and physical client files.

· Communicate professionally with clients regarding routine accounting queries.

Assist senior staff with ad hoc accounting, reporting and administrative duties

Pay: R9 000,00 - R11 000,00 per month
