Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper
Location: Remote (South Africa)
Company: UK Accountancy Practice based in Wales
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month (depending on experience)
We are a growing accountancy practice based in Wales, providing accounting and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK clients. We are looking for a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our remote team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience who enjoys working with a variety of clients and is looking for long-term career growth within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of UK clients.
- Process financial records using Xero and Dext.
- Reconcile bank accounts and ensure client bookkeeping is accurate and up to date.
- Maintain accurate aged receivables and aged payables.
- Investigate and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies.
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts.
- Meet client deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Experience using Xero and Dext.
- Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and prioritise workloads.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Reliable fibre internet connection and a suitable home workspace.
