Job Summary

Edenroche is a family-owned international group with operations in hospitality, food & beverage, and arts in South Africa, Switzerland, and France. We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team.

Working in a hybrid work environment, you will support day-to-day transaction processing, multi-currency reconciliations, and period-end schedules across our international entities. This role offers an exceptional entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on multi-subsidiary accounting experience within an international portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Currency & Multi-Entity Bookkeeping:

• Process, code, and reconcile daily transactions across ZAR, CHF, and EUR accounts.
• Reconcile daily point-of-sale (POS) and merchant processor settlements for the guest house, hotel, art gallery, and dining venues.

Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Capture and validate supplier invoices and assist with weekly payment runs across regional entities.
• Issue invoices for corporate guest stays, art gallery sales, and group bookings, and follow up on outstanding balances.

Month-End Reconciliations:

• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing month-end files, recording prepayments, accruals, fixed asset depreciation, and amortisation.
• Support the team during inventory counts (hospitality, F&B, and gallery stock) and assist in gathering documentation for regional tax filings and audits.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Bookkeeping (BCom / National Diploma or similar).
• Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience (fresh BCom graduates, candidates with partial or completed SAIPA / SAICA articles, or candidates with relevant internship experience are welcome).
• Technical Skills:
• - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic financial functions).- Working knowledge or exposure to Xero accounting software is highly advantageous.
• Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organisational skills for hybrid working, and comfortable liaising with teams across different time zones and cultures.
• Languages: Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) required; conversational French is a bonus.

Compensation & Work Setup

• Work Setup: Hybrid
• Salary Offer: R18,000 – R24,000 per month gross (R216,000 – R288,000 CTC per annum), negotiable depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
