SUMMARY: My client, a well-established company based in the beautiful Constantia Valley, is seeking to employ a Junior Financial Accountant / Bookkeeper/Financial Administrator with at least 3 years' relevant experience to join their team.
POSITION INFO: The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration across multiple business entities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and efficient financial processes. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is confident managing multiple priorities simultaneously Requirements: Relevant bookkeeping, accounting or finance qualification Minimum of 3 years' bookkeeping experience Experience working across multiple business entities will be advantageous Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial controls Strong reconciliation skills and high attention to detail Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong computer literacy and confidence working with accounting software Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines Professional communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across Departments Experience in payroll Experience in Xero, Lightspeed (iKentoo), Psiber Payroll, Dineplan, SnapScan, Yoco, SARS e-filing and Advanced MS Excel will be advantageous Well organised and able to manage competing priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment Committed to continuous improvement and process efficiency Duties will include, but are not limited to: Daily processing and reconciliation Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accounts payable Raising customer invoices and managing debtor accounts Importing and reconciling bank statements and payment platforms Managing creditor reconciliations and supplier statement reviews Processing journals, including VAT and EMP201 journals Credit card reconciliations and expense allocations Petty cash processing and reconciliations Weekly wage and monthly payroll processing Intercompany and loan account reconciliations Preparation of monthly management reports and financial dashboards Assisting with month-end and year-end financial close processes Liaising with external accountants, auditors and service providers Maintaining organised financial records and supporting documentation Providing general finance administration and supporting the wider business where required In return a highly competitive salary is on offer
