Discover the Role This role supports their team in all administrative tasks, VAT calculations, filing VAT returns and minor accounting processes. Takes care of the correct filing of the documentation and provides team members with any requested documentation, from physical or electronic files. Assists with high volume tasks (like invoicing). Files electronically recurrent tax forms. All these under review and supervision of their team’s Senior.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares VAT calculations and liaises with third parties
• Files VAT returns and other tax forms
• Reconciles client tax account on weekly basis
• Assists with high volume transactional tasks (such as invoicing)
• Fills in basic tax or legal forms per templates provided
• Assists with the preparation of financial statements
• Extracts financial information from legal documents and processes the relevant entries
• Meets the statutory and corporate deadlines in respect of each client. Files recurrent tax forms electronically (like CBI and Tax filings)
• Provide assistance during statutory or internal audits (queries and follow ups)
• Prepares draft replies to clients’ queries

Key Requirements

• Degree holder in Accountancy or business related disciplines
• Some orientation/on the job experience
• Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organise themselves
• Analytical structured mind set with ability to follow and build upon existing processes and ensure data is maintained with accuracy and consistency
• Fluency in English is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is essential, with experience of local accounting system desirable
