Job description
Are you passionate about the family entertainment industry and looking to kickstart your career in finance? We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Payable person to join our dynamic team!
Position: Junior Accounts Payable
Location: Pretoria – N4 Gateway Industrial Park
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Own Transport will be beneficial
Salary: R 7,000 per month (negotiable)
Responsibilities:
- Process recurring invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial records are up to date.
- Prepare weekly payment schedules and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) requests to facilitate timely vendor payments.
- Maintain organized filing systems for invoices, payment records, and other important documents to support general administrative duties.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable, including reconciliation of accounts and collaboration with the finance team.
- Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries regarding accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
Competencies:
- Must be computer literate with proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Minimum educational qualification: Grade 12; further studies in finance or accounting is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience with basic knowledge of accounting systems.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
