Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting administration, including processing cashbooks, maintaining accurate financial records, and performing bank, debtors and creditors reconciliations. The role also includes preparing and submitting VAT201, EMP201 and EMP501 returns, managing SARS eFiling, handling SARS queries and requests for supporting documentation, and assisting with general client administration and follow-ups.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing cashbooks and maintaining bookkeeping records
- Bank, debtors and creditors reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of VAT201, EMP201 and EMP501 returns
- SARS eFiling and general SARS administration
- Handling SARS queries, notices and supporting documentation requests
- PAYE, UIF and SDL administration
- General client administration and follow-ups
Requirements:
- Practical bookkeeping and SARS eFiling experience is essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Experience with Pastel, Sage and Microsoft Excel will be an advantage
